On March 24, the Government Mission led by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung paid a visit and inspected the construction of Long Phu 1 Petroleum Thermal Power Plant Project (Soc Trang Province) and Song Hau 1. (Hau Giang province).

On the side of Hau Giang province’s leader is Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Cong Chanh.

Accompanying were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung, General Director of General Department of Environment – Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Van Tai; Leaders of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group (TKV), Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama), representatives of construction contractors. .

On the side of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), there was Deputy General Director Nguyen Hung Dung.

Deputy General Director of PVN Nguyen Hung Dung has reported to the Deputy Prime Minister and the delegation, the Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant Project, the PTSC – Power Machines Joint Venture project are deploying activities of work items, Group leaders regularly check and give opinions. The two turbine houses are gradually being completed, the boiler section has also completed the installation work. The two main items are turbines and boilers, in terms of turbine manufacturing that is ahead of schedule, the main equipment items for the plant are basically completed. Some difficulties and obstacles currently are the need of the support, direction and cooperation of the parties involved in the project implementation to accelerate the project progress.

The project has completed the treatment of foundation and equipment ports, completed the testing of coal wharf piles. The main plant area such as the No. 1 boiler project is implementing concrete work, reaching 99.5% of the schedule, the second boiler reaches 99.3% …

As of now, the overall progress of the project is behind schedule. Caused by slow contract bid package system desulfurization (FGD), affecting the design, procurement systems as well as design for connection to the chimney also affect the completion schedule of the project .

Through inspection at the site and reported by the stakeholders, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung affirmed that the two projects Long Phu 1, Song Hau 1 meaningful decisions to meet the electricity for the South , however, is currently behind schedule.
